Established in the year 2011, Namaa is an independent research institution specialising in the Islamic sciences and humanities. It is primarily concerned with preparing and publishing specialized academic studies and translations, as well providing high-quality courses, academic teaching, and research consultations in areas that contribute to the development of the Islamic sciences and humanities whilst seeking to enhance integration between the two fields.

To create an integrated research environment to develop and advance academic research, as well as shaping researchers in Islamic sciences and humanities.

To facilitate for researchers in Islamic sciences and humanities in the Arab world to produce rigorous research, and then promote their intellectual output through various media. Nama also seeks to create communication platforms with the most important specialists in order to provide training, advice, and guidance, so as to build an academic community that is qualified to engage in research, study, and debate.
